| so this is the new year it's 2009, which looks the same as 2008: the sky is also a pale sickly orange at the moment. an old friend's mother died on Christmas, and my parents are attending the funeral now. xanga has housed many of my memories for years: Heroin_e and misrule have seen me through four years. four. seems like a magic number, almost. the unlucky chinese number denoting death. four seasons. they have borne witness to bad poetry, decent poetry, unhappy memories, a few blissful ones. up and down. there was a time where i lived through xanga. but not anymore. so i am rarely here anymore, and probably won't be for the most part. i tweet, wordpress a little, and go where this so-called reality takes me. Why do people have to be this lonely? What's the point of it all? Millions of people in this world, all of them yearning, looking to others to satisfy them, yet isolating themselves. Why? Was the earth put here just to nourish human loneliness? - K, Murakami the last few posts on misrule do not need excessive explanation: i fell in love, was loved, was shattered, am mostly mended. though sometimes the cracks show up. resolutions are unlikely, though if they existed they would not include "falling in love". if you are reading this - i'm still here in this world, and can be contacted. today is the first day of my life. happy new year. | |
